تحيّة طيبة وبعد ،،،
"تحدي القراءة العربي" هو أكبر مشروع عربي أطلقه صاحب السّمو الشّيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، نائب رئيس دولة الإمارات العربيّة المتّحدة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي، لتّشجيع القراءة لدى الطّلاب في العالم العربي.
يأخذ التحدي شكل منافسة للقراءة باللّغة العربيّة يُشارك فيها الطّلبة من الصّف الأول الابتدائي وحتى الصّف الثّاني عشر من المدارس المشاركة عبر العالم العربي، تبدأ من شهر سبتمبر/أيلول كل عام حتى شهر مارس/ آذار من العام التّالي، يتدرج خلالها الطّلاب المشاركون عبر خمس مراحل تتضمن كل مرحلة قراءة عشرة كتب وتلخيصها في جوازات التّحدي. بعد الانتهاء من القراءة والتّلخيص، تبدأ مراحل التّصفيات وفق معايير معتمدة، وتتم على مستوى المدارس والمناطق التّعليمية ثم مستوى الأقطار العربية وصولاً للتصفيات النهائية والتي تُعقد في دبي سنوياً في شهر مايو/أيّار.
أهداف التّحدّي
زيادة الوعي بأهميّة القراءة لدى الطّلبة في العالم العربي
تنمية مهارات التّعلم الذّاتي والتّفكير التّحليلي النّاقد وتوسيع المدارك
· تنمية الجوانب العاطفية والفكريّة لدى الطلاب
تحسين مهارات اللُّغة العربيّة لدى الطلاب لزيادة قدرتهم على التّعبير بطلاقة وفصاحة
تعزيز الوعي الثّقافي لدى الطّلاب منذ صغرهم، وتوسيع آفاق تفكيرهم
بناء شبكة من القرّاء العرب النّاشئين وتفعيل التّواصل بينهم لبناء تجمع ثقافي عربي
تعزيز الحس الوطني والعروبة والشّعور بالانتماء إلى أمةٍ واحدةٍ

الفائز الأول في تحدي القراءة العربي يحصل على 150,000 دولار منها 100,000 دولار لتغطية تكاليف دراسته الجامعيّة و 50,000 دولار مُكافأة لأسرتِه.

Announcing an available position, Athletic and Activities Assistant.
We are looking for a female Educational Assistant to assist and support the Athletics & Activities program. The ideal candidate will be an energetic self-starter who takes the initiative to perform routine clerical and other tasks independently. They will also have strong multitasking abilities and diplomacy skills. The ability to maintain electronic databases and filing systems using Microsoft Excel and Google platforms is essential and excellent written/spoken English language skills.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school Diploma and 2 years + of experience in similar roles.
REPORTS TO: Athletic and Activities Director

Job Description:
- Prepare, advertise and distribute all information regarding the After School Activities program. This will require working directly with administration, teachers and parents to ensure a high quality program is delivered to the school community.
- Handle questions from parents, general public, teachers, counselors, and administrators concerning all sports and after school activities.
- Promotes good school and community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the competitive and after school activities programs.
- Assist in preparing and submitting ADEC travel documents when required.
- Works with the Athletic and Activities Director to develop schedules for all athletic events including practice schedules. Makes entries in computer programs (games, rosters, etc.) and shares with parents and the wider community.
- Maintains athletics and activities web page to ensure all information is current.
- Assist in coordinating buses for all groups and teams through STA
- Produce programs for the tournaments when required.
- Assist in compiling information and preparing reports, schedules, correspondence, athletic handbook, team rosters, etc. as needed.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
- Demonstrates a commitment to professional growth.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrates regular attendance and punctuality.

There are currently 40 clubs of offer, hopefully there will be something for everyone this time around. The registration will be available from Monday Dec 14th . Dear Parents,
Registration is now open for the upcoming E-Sports multi-activity camp which will be running at Al Ghazal Golf Club during the school winter break.
Children between the ages of 4 and 14 years old will have lots of fun and stay active with a variety of fun sports, games and activities!
The Winter Camps will run from the December 20th – January 7th, 2015/16 (Sundays to Thursdays).
Camp timings: Drop off 8:15 am | Start 9:00 am | Finish 2:30 pm | Pick Up 2:45-3pm
With the booking of two children, parents are entitled to receive a 20% discount on the weekly rate (AED 825 - 20% = AED 660) for the second child.
What to bring: Water bottle, Snack and a packed lunch

Has your child lost something at school? Misplaced water bottles, lunch boxes, uniforms, swimming gear, school books and more can be found in Lost and Found center under the staircase of the main lobby. On the last day of school, unclaimed items will be donated to a local charity. If your child is missing an item, this is the place to look first!
