News from Head of School - Kathy Miner
Reminder: 2017-2018 School Calendar
We’ve drafted a tentative school calendar for the 2017-2018 academic year to assist you in planning the year ahead. We have submitted this draft to ADEC and are awaiting approval, which means that dates could change before final approval is given. ADEC provided the dates for the start and end of the school year as well as holidays, and we built our calendar accordingly.
You will notice that the school year begins after Eid Al Adha Holiday in September 2017 and stretches through to the end of June.
Please use this calendar to set tentative dates for travel and plans with friends and family knowing that dates are subject to change based on our pending approval with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC).

Yearbook
Dear GAA Parents and Students,
What is a yearbook? “A yearbook is a heartbeat, a pulse, the rhythm of your school. It captures every giggle, sigh, gasp, and cry. It unites athletes and scholars, leaders and followers in a way that nothing else can. Its body is your life and the voice of your school is its breath and its moments are frozen in time!”
The yearbook staff have been working tremendously hard to make the 2016-2017 yearbook special. As you may have already known, the yearbook is currently on sale for 250 DHS ($68.50) before winter vacation. On January 12th the price will increase to 300 DHS, so make your purchase now! You can purchase the yearbook from the following link: www.tiny.cc/gaayearbook.
Sincerely,
The 2016-2017 Yearbook Staff
