A few of our students from Middle and Hgh School did ASMA (American Scholastic Mathematics Competitions). The students wrote 6 contests during the school year. We are in First Place for the senior division and Second place for the junior division. From the several hundred schools that participate from around the globe. Please check the website http://www.asan.com/asma1.htm to see the results.
News from the PE Department
This year the P.E department has been recognizing students who have been demonstrating the IB learner profiles in their lessons. Each unit a student has been selected by their teacher and been displayed on the ‘P.E Wall of Fame’. Each student picks an IB learner trait they believe they have exhibited during the unit.
As an end of year celebration students selected to be on the wall were offered the chance to attend a training session at Cross Fit YAS – so we took nearly 40 students’ from grade 6-10 over to the GYM on Sunday 21st May. Students were put through their paces with a high intensity 60-minute workout session!
Student behavior and engagement were exceptional and both the instructors were very impressed with our Wildcats! As were Mr Lovett and I!
Special mention goes to Page Oben from Grade 6 for showing amazing athleticism and sportsmanship by finishing her set of exercising and then moving straight on to cheering another team!
Carmen Gomez De Olea Grade 8 for walking straight into the Gym and climbing up the rope! What a way to start a session!!
