News from Craig Randall - Secondary Principal
Dear Parents,
Reports cards are out! Later this afternoon a PDF copy of the report card attached to an email will be sent to all parents and students in Secondary School. For students in Kindergarten and Elementary school we will be sending you your username and password as well as a "how to guide" so parents can access report cards on the GEMS Learning Gateway. The reason we are doing things differently in Secondary School is as this section of the school uses a program named Admin+ instead of the GLG. With an increased focus on service learning and environmentalism, we are excited to be walking the talk and reducing our carbon footprint!
In other news I was delighted to see our KG students enjoying sports day today - lots of laughter and music all around. I also want to take this opportunity to congratulate the students who participated in the World Scholars Cup last week. They did an excellent job representing the GEMS American Academy and I wish then the best of luck in the next round! In other exciting news, GAA is participating in an international Model United Nations trip in Qatar - all reports are that our delegates are doing an outstanding job at the conference. More details to come next week!
For those parents of Seniors, save the date! Graduation will be held on Thursday June 11th in the auditorium.
We look forward to welcoming back Kathy Miner and Ben Voborsky from the recruitment fairs in Boston and London next week. Kathy tells me they have had much success in attracting great new teachers for the 2015/16 academic year. This is thanks to our program, beautiful facility and supportive parents. I am sure Kathy and Ben have been very proud to represent our community and our students out there on the recruitment trail.
Have a lovely weekend
