Although absent from last season’s sports roster, GAA’s Track and Field team made a resurgent return with a wonderful display of effort, talent, and heart at this year’s EAC Championship held at New York University’s track in Abu Dhabi on March 19th and 20th. The entire team made up of girls and boys junior varsity squads, in addition to the boys varsity team shone brightly for GAA, as it marked the school’s return to competitive track and field events.
Head Coach, and former college track standout, Anna Ramirez commented that “The athletes did a really awesome job. Several students, because of growing numbers, participated in five events each. Our athletes not only got a feel for track and field’s individual aspect, but the team aspect as well.”
