- Exams occur from Thursday, December 10th through Thursday, December 17th.
- Students in IB courses (regardless of whether they are DP, Certificate, or non-DP program students) will have classes as usual.
- Students in Grade 9 & 10 courses and non-IB Gr 11 and 12 courses will NOT have class during exams.
- Students in Grades 6-8 will have classes as usual.
- Students who have exam/class conflicts (e.g. A non-IB exam at the same time as their IB class) should write their exam. Teachers of these students will have to make accommodations to catch these students up on missed materials.
- Students who have exam/exam conflicts (e.g. Two exams at the same time) should first talk to their teachers, then see an Administrator to build a personalised plan.
- Students who are not in class or in an exam are expected to be off campus. Students who have multiple events during the day (2 exams, class and exam, etc) are expected to use the IB Lounge as a quiet study space if they wish to stay at school.
We look forward to welcoming parents at our National Day Celebrations on Sunday, November 29th!
Have a great weekend,

Grade 6 Ancient Egyptian Fair
Research shows that student learns best when they can make connections to their previous experiences, their interests, or material they are learning in other disciplines. With this in mind, the Grade 6 team put together an Egyptian Fair where students completed and presented various aspects of Ancient Egyptian culture related to History, Science, Math and Language Arts.
Students demonstrated how to mummify tomatoes while learning about the rituals and belief of the Ancient Egyptians. They read myths and legends and took on the personas of various gods and goddesses during their presentations. In Math, students learned about ancient forms of measurement, such as the cubit, and then made histograms using their measurements. Visitors to the fair were able to write their name and age in hieroglyphics, see the inside of a pyramid, learn about the Sphinx and see models of mummies. It was a great experience for the students.
They put in a lot of effort and performed remarkably well. Great job!

It was a UAE Social Studies field trip where we explored our geographical surroundings and learned about the industry of fishing and pearl diving in the UAE. It was a fun filled day with lots of team building activities, presentations and student interaction.
