News from our Secondary Principal, Craig Randall
Dear Parents,
Course Selection is under way for the 2016-2017 school year.
Math, Modern World Languages, Arabic, and Arts, courses require teacher recommendation. These recommendations have already been specifically entered for each student and are made as a form of best practice. Parents are encouraged to sit with their child and carefully review their course selections and recommendations for next year.
Students are asked to electronically submit their course requests by March 1st. Parents are asked to carefully review these forms. When you as a parent electronically submit the course registration form this means you have approved the course selections. This means the course selection requests are final and no changes will be allowed to be made to a student schedule in the fall. So thank you for being thorough in your choices. Parents are asked to electronically submit by March 3rd.
Course Requests will be made through Plus Portals. Students and Parents will log into their Plus Portals Accounts and select courses under the Course Requests tab. Click here for detailed instructions.
Please keep in mind that this is a selection request process and may not reflect the finalized schedule.
Should you have any questions or concerns please contact Ms. Sharice Welch at [email protected] or Ms. Kathleen Leishear at [email protected]

Craig Randall

Jonah Delisi will be traveling to Luxembourg next week to represent GAA at the world honor choir. He’s had to learn an incredible amount of difficult collegiate level music to prepare and all his hard work is paying off. Well done Jonah!
Dear parents and guardians,
The Prom Committee would like to formally notify you of an upcoming event that has been planned and organized since the beginning of the school year.
Prom is a high school tradition that celebrates not only the success and completion of high school education, but also the transition into the next part of our lives. Thus, the students of GAA are highly enthusiastic and excited about such an event, and we are thrilled to announce that Prom will take place later this year. We are working hard to ensure a memorable experience, and we hope every student invited can participate and enjoy this celebratory occasion.
This year’s Prom will be held at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi on the 26th of May, 2016. Please be aware that this event will be supervised by chaperone teachers to ensure safety and responsibility.
This event is made possible through the purchase of tickets at the cost of 400 AED, and fundraisers held throughout the year. We welcome and appreciate any further donations by parents. We would also like to acknowledge the help from GAAPA and Booster Club, and thank them for their unconditional support.
Should you have any inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact our Prom Committee Advisors via email:
Ms. Alexandra Fatu: [email protected]
Ms. Kamila Shakarchi: [email protected]
Warm regards,
Prom Committee
