News from Head of School - Kathy Miner
Dear Parents
The magic of our community can be found in the everyday interactions throughout the school- the warmth, the welcoming spirit and the relationships that are build and sustained throughout the year. Visitors in our school can immediately sense our Culture of Kindness, a signature of our school community that reflects our core values and philosophy of education. We are all part of the something special at our school, the connections and relationships as we partner to support, care for and educate our children.
Special events, such as the upcoming Fall Festival, are a great way for us all to come together as a community to support and celebrate our diverse and caring GAA community.
Fall Festival, October 22
Be sure to mark your calendar for Thursday, October 22 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. for the GAA Fall Festival hosted and organized by our GAAPA Parent Association with the help of our many parent volunteers across the school.
Parent Feedback and Input
We encourage and value feedback, suggestions and input from our parent community. We regularly schedule parent “In Touch” feedback sessions throughout the year to gather valuable information and suggestions important for the continuous improvement of our school programs and practices. These sessions helps us to stay in touch with our parents.
How does an In Touch Session work? We organize a variety of table discussion groups, each led by a Senior Leadership Team member, focused on a particular theme. Parents rotate among the topics that interest them the most. Parents have commented in previous sessions that they enjoy the engaging discussions. Parents appreciate having the opportunity to comment on the positive aspects of the school as well as make suggestions about areas in which they feel there could be more improvement.
Please mark your calendar for our next In Touch Session planned for Monday, October 19th from 1:30 to 3pm.
Those unable to attend are welcome to contact any of our Senior Leadership Team members either by phone, by email or in person, to speak personally about aspects of our school, just contact Naseera-Timm-Holland for assistance in making an appointment that fits your busy schedule.
Regards,
Kathryn Miner
