Did you know that 15.9% of all diagnosed cancer cases amongst women are breast cancer but that 98% of those with breast cancer can survive if the cancer is detected early ?
Raising awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early and regular exams in its prevention is vitally important. This is why October has been designated worldwide as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
On October 19th, help GAAPA support this worthwhile cause by participating in one of our Go Pink ! activities :
10 :40-11 :10am – Presentation by Danat al Emarat Hospital
11 :30-1 :30pm – Donate money and get a pink manicure at our Pink Nail Station
2 :30-3 :30pm – Purchase a pink baked good at our Pink Bake Sale
Secondary students, GAA staff and all parents are encouraged to wear something pink .
All proceeds and donations will go to the UAE Red Crescent who works with the HAAD to support women with breast cancer during diagnosis and treatment.

Lost and found
Dear Parents,
We have been at school for a couple of weeks and our “Lost and Found” items are growing rapidly. We have many water bottles, lunch boxes and new school sweaters. Please help us return items to your child by naming all their belongings. If you think your student may have misplaced something please stop by the “Lost and Found” area, which is located by the entrance to the cafeteria. Clothing items not claimed will be donated into the Red Crescent collection box at the rear of the school.
