Dear Parents
Thank you to all the parents who came to our wonderful Arts’ Festival this week. It was wonderful to be able to share with you all of the hard work done by both our teachers and students.
The art gallery contained many wonderful examples of art that relates to our Units of Inquiry.
Students cooked delicious cheese biscuits and chocolate chip cookies in our kitchen.
The singing and dancing and drama on stage was absolutely magical. Thank you to all of our parents who created costumes and helped with the production.
We are always learning and playing in KG1 and KG2.

KGCORNER
KG2F welcomed parent readers into the classroom!
In KG2E we have been learning about stories. Students enjoyed reading, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk,’ and, ‘The Gingerbread Man.’ Students discovered what settings and characters were in the books and described the range of feelings each character felt throughout the story.
Art Festival
Arts Fest has arrived this week and the halls are filled with our Little Artists’ lovely works. The Art Exhibition features more than 40 different projects from our KG1 and KG2 students. We hope you all had the chance to see their hard work. If you haven’t had the chance to see the pieces, many works will still be on display in the next few days in the Kindergarten Wing.
KG PE
Sports Day Preparation
The KG1’s and KG2’s have been working extremely hard in their PE lessons and are very excited to show you what they have been learning in their up and coming Sports Day! The activities that have been chosen for the day (that are also being practiced during PE) focus specifically on the fundamental movement skills. These are both age and developmentally appropriate for our students. Some of the activities we have been working on include obstacles, jumping, running, and many other activities. We are also working on improving coordination through activities such as batting, kicking, bouncing and throwing. The students have also been learning to work well as a team, to take turns and to play along to the games fairly. We have all been having lots of fun and we look forward to those of you who can attend the Sports Day.
