Dear GAA Parents,
Tuition Fees for 2017-2018
As you plan for the new school year, please note that tuition fees will remain the same through the 2017-2018 school year with no increase. More information on transportation, catering and uniform fees will be available as we approach the start of the school year.
Tuition Fees for the 2017-2018 School Year:
- KG1 & KG2 50,300 AED
- G1- G12 70,100 AED
For families interested in a payment plan for the 2017-2018 school year, we recommend arranging a payment plan with the GEMS Co-Brand NBAD credit card which offers a discount if parents pay on or before June 10, 2017. Please contact our Finance Department for more information or see the article in the weekly newsletter for bank contact information. (02 557 4880 or [email protected])

Ramadan timings
Following a recent ADEC circular, school timings for students during the Holy Month of Ramadan will now be 8:30am – 1:30pm starting Sunday, May 28th.
Bus service will continue as usual, with a 1:45pm departure time from school. BBT will communicate directly with parents regarding the change in pick-up and drop-off timings. If you would like to sign up for the bus service during Ramadan please contact our BBT transport director, Mr. Abdullah at [email protected].
Our educational program, instruction and high school examinations will remain unchanged during Ramadan. Teachers have engaging learning planned for their students. We encourage our families and students to continue attending during Ramadan.
During the Holy Month of Ramadan, recess periods will be shortened and PE activities will be limited and low key, keeping in mind that students do not play outdoors in May/June due to the heat.
The final after school activities (ASA) session will finish today, May 18th. There will be no after school clubs and activities during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
*ESM Sports will continue to run their activities from 1:45pm. ESM will communicate details regarding activities directly with parents.
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer after-school daycare or supervision beyond the half-day school day. Labor Law limits the number of hours that employees can work during Ramadan. Please ensure that you have arranged for prompt drop-off and pick-up as our staff will not be here.
Ramadan Kareem!
Regards,
Kathy Miner
Head of school and CEO

During the year any items of value that are found in and around the school are brought to the main reception. If they are not collected they are stored away safely. We would like to ask that if you have lost anything of value e.g, cell phone, watch or wallet to please visit the main reception and we can have a look in the lost and found. As you can see by the below pictures we have many items that have not been claimed.
1. Cleaning Satisfaction Survey
We value the opinions of our school community in regards to the services offered by our partners and in house teams. Therefore we have designed a cleaning satisfaction survey to get feedback on services delivered to our schools. Please forward this survey to your school teaching and non-teaching faculty as well as parents to get their feedback.
The survey is very brief and will only take about 5 minutes to complete. The results will be used to focus our efforts, and to continually develop and improve the cleaning services offered throughout the GEMS network. These surveys should be completed before or by 30th May 2017
Please click the link below to go to the survey Web site or copy and paste the link into your Internet browser to begin the survey.

KG & Grade 1
Keita have launched a new Online System for ordering food. Please see the attached presentation detailing the food order process for KG1, KG2 and Grade 1 students. Hot meals are provided by Keita catering and delivered to the classroom. This is not mandatory and parents are welcome to send students with a packed lunch.
KG and Grade 1 students have lunch in their classroom and not in the cafeteria therefore the order process is different to that of students Grade 2-12, who purchase food in the cafeteria using the cashless system.
Kindly note the following:
- For students to be able to receive meals in their classroom, it is mandatory that parents register them on the online system, make the payment and select the order of the meals. This can only be done online.
- We suggest parents order a week in advance to avoid any disappointments and to ensure on time delivery to your child.Deadline for orders is 4pm the day prior.
- Any orders via email, telephone or at the cafeteria will unfortunately not be accepted.
-All current students registered and their credit balance will automatically be transferred to the new system.
If you have any questions on how to place the order or experience any difficulty with this system, please contact the Keita IT Department at [email protected] or at 056 939 4250. For general information, please contact their customer service at [email protected] or 800 – KEITA.
