News From Student Council
Student Council sharing news!
After what we all hope was a happy, relaxing winter break for all, Student Council returns to its busy schedule!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the participants and judges of the 2014 GAA’s Got Talent Show. Students certainly proved their indescribable talent, and along with the support of the judges, the show ran successfully as planned. Below are some pictures that were able to capture such a wonderful moment in our school and set the bar high for next year’s talent show!

We have kicked off the New Year with the Red Crescent Compassion Campaign which aims to provide suitable warm clothing and blankets for refugees in refugee camps in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq and Egypt.
A drop off stall has been set up in the main foyer for our GAA Community to contribute to this worthy cause. We are open to collect the donations until the 26th of January which will then be transported to our nearest Red Crescent vicinity.
Click here for a presentation on the Compassion Campaign that was presented to our secondary students today during our assembly.
And make sure you come out to the Chili Cook Off next Thursday hosted by GAAPA.
Come by the student council booth and try our amazing chili!
Until next week…..Student Council.

Swimming Team Try Outs
Dear Secondary Parents,
We still have open places for advanced swimmers in the Secondary Swimming team Gr.7-12.
Squad Entrance Expectations (at coaches discretion):
Students will be timed on 50 meters for each stroke and 100IM. We are also looking at the level of stroke performance.
Squad training takes place 2 times a week after school from 3:00-4:30 every Sunday and Wednesday.
Our team has been selected for 2/3 swim meets to the end of the school year, so if your child is interested in competitive swimming, please encourage them to join our squad.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Best Regards,
Coaches Ms.Kirsten [email protected] Ms. Ilaina : [email protected]
