I would like to extend an offer of free VIK (Very Important Kids) entries to GEMS students into the Triathlon TriYas being held on Friday 20th February (starting time 2pm). This event is a great event for the beginner or competitive
athlete with a 50m swim followed by a cycle around Yas Circuit of 5.5km, finishing with a 1500m run to the finish line.
This entry will include the following:
Free entry for athlete and parents to the Pasta Party and Health X on Thursday evening. (This is where they will pick up their race packs for the following day and enjoy a pasta dinner). Location Yas Circuit. We will have a member of staff to meet and great all VIK's.
On the day we will have a free Assisted Entry in place for our VIK's. Parents can bring their child to a designated area where we will take them through the process of the day, help them with bike set up, kit set up and answer any questions parents or children may have.
After the race all finishers will receive a medal and a participants t-shirt. Online timing certificates and a race time is also provided.
Bike hire can be arranged and an additional cost of 80dhs. All types of bikes (BMX, Mountain, road bikes) are allowed in this triathlon. Please let me know if you require bike hire.
There will also be free kids activities available during the day for all to enjoy.
TriYas is the biggest triathlon currently in the UAE and promises to be a great day out for all.
Entries are open to all children 10 and above who are capable of swimming at least 100m. The swim of this event takes place at Yas Marina in a safe but deep section of the marina.
